Comments

For generations, from grade school to high school,to college,
and then on through the mass media, people where brainwashed
into thinking that crass individualism (the big ME) is the
supreme philosophy, that to think in social terms is unAmerican.
Now that the world is tumbling into chaos, the chickens are
coming home to roost. In a society where insecurity is paramount,
security comes out of the barrel of a gun

The name prepper and survivalist are nothing more then words used to describe people that want to be prepared. But the thing is, our ancestors used to live like that all the time.

Decades ago, even centuries ago people kept some type of weapon with them. Whether it was used for hunting or defending the property, it did not matter. People planted gardens, planted fruit trees, had plenty of food on hand, had chickens, cows, goats,,,, that is just the way life was.

In the 1900s people more and more people started living in big cities. As a result, they forgot what it was like to live in the country.

Todays financial and political times have people worried. So they are returning back to the lifestyle their ancestors used to live. And that is staying ready for hard times.
